It is truly discouraging that there can exist a political movement consisting of people not smart enough to recognize the irony of that sign.

Pay no attention to the fact that the health care bill regulates and perpetuates health insurance sold by corporations (which they do with the sole objective of making a profit - not the provision of quality health care).  Regulating a private corporation, is in no way a socialist principle.

Presumably, the "stealing from Medicare" that concerns the sign holder, is the phasing out of "Medicare Advantage."  That is a program in which the insured is covered by a private insurance company, with premium paid by the government, and which costs the government 14% more than ordinary Medicare.  smiley_tonguewinkhasing that out sounds like a fiscally conservative idea, and additionally benefits the insured by removing them from the jurisdiction of a corporate death panel, should they become seriously ill.

Medicare Advantage is a program that does steal from Medicare.  The sign has it exactly backward.

What the sign really says, is "Don't end the theft from (Socialist) Medicare that enhances the profits of (Capitalist) insurance companies."

What these nit-wits advocate they don't have the smarts to understand.
