I've been thinking about using Mercurial - your article has helped. btw, how did you generate this killer graph?
Glad to hear the article was useful. Now using Mercurial and Git more and more, there's much to like about git, but I am much happier overall with Mercurial - it is powerful without being overly complex.
The graph was made with Numbers, the Mac spreadsheet component of iWork.
