Stuck Pixels
This line of stuck pixels appeared on my mother's 8GB 1st gen iPhone immediately after applying the 2.0.1 software update. I don't think these are normal stuck pixels, because the pixels appear to flicker when viewed through the LCD screen on my digital camera. Stuck pixels are (as the name implies) stuck, they don't flicker, and this issue occurred immediately after applying the 2.0.1 software update.
My 8GB iPhone 3G also began displaying a single stuck pixel near the same location after applying the 2.0.1 software update.
Update: We have "resolved" the issue by returning both iPhones to our local Apple Store for replacement.
