I like it. I don't see tags though. How are you handling installed apps? Will they not show in the directory? Or will you show a Remove button?
FYI, I think we can get some apps from APEX, e.g. OraTweet.
Looks great. Thumbnail, Rating, Commenting, Searching are there. Tagging should be also provided, right?
Should the thunmbanil be stored as image file of just an url? I prefer url which can be specified in gadget xml.
Is a sidebar for "My Application" like what's on facebook needed? or put similar content in the "My Application" tab?
@jake I forgot to add the tagging. Installed apps are found under the "My Applications" tab. Also, any installed apps will be shown in other tabs as well... but instead of having the "Add it now" button, we'll offer a "Remove it now" button.
@jessehu re: thumbnails... the problem with relying on the app to provide a thumbnail URL is that most apps won't have them and if they do, they're likely to be a different size. I suggest creating a thumbnail when the app is registered. Besides, we'll be the only ones with access to create apps.
Hi Rich. I discussed with Anthony about the access to create apps. One way is that we can let anyone create apps but the approval of administrator is required before the apps can be seen and used. Most gadgets provided by igoogle provide thumbnail url, if its not the case, we can let users upload one.
